Today marked my first ‘official’ event as an author! A few weeks ago I was asked, through the ALLi forum, to donate a copy of Residuum of Ravenstone to one of the halls of residence, to be added to their new library. I was then pleasantly surprised when I was asked to attend a thank you reception.
It was a really great event. I got to meet other authors who were very kind and very understanding. We spoke about their works and they asked me about my own. We discussed methods and difficulties and it really helped put my mind at ease. They were each very friendly and gave me lost of encouragement before wishing me luck with my future endeavours. I’m now really looking forward to future events and getting back to writing again.
